What are the differences 93-97 compared to 98-02

I couldn't seem to find anything quite like this but maybe it is out there.

I know this one sounds weird but the reason I'm asking is because I plan on making my own camaro and was considering using a 1993-1997 body instead of the 1998-2002 body to save money lol. However I will be installing a built LSX engine.

I am basically wondering what the differences are between brakes / suspension / mounting stuff etc.... am I going to screw myself over buying the older body? or is everything the same under the car?

I'd also take some personal recommendations on body year to go with. I know the 93-97's are kinda ugly in my opinion but it's only the nose and that's easily replaceable.

    Thanks
    Mike

not much. the 98-02 has a much nicer interior. their is slight differences in clutch setups, but that is easily changed. i think the brakes and suspensions are mostly the same, not too many big differences.

Theres a few differences, off the top of my head, things light tailights, The int. from 97-02 are just about the same, Underneath they have the same design and the same nooks and crannies. Our cars have had the "cat" hump in the same spot for generations, even thou the cats have been relocated.

Because new tooling requires money to be spent.....if you can make a car with the same tooling for years on end your profit increases
