Simply put, the engines aren't the same. The Silverado SS uses the GM Vortec LQ9, while the Trailblazer SS utilizes the LS2. Both are 6.0L V8's.

The Trailblazer SS has the LS2 6.0 and the SS Silverado has the LQ9 6.0.

No problem. I was looking for some more info so I could expand my answer a little bit. I'm sure they both use different heads and the cam profile is different, too, probably. Not sure about the intake. The Vortec does use the same architecture as the LS-series, but the blocks aren't the same, at least from what I've read.

LQ9 is an iron block and the LS2 is aluminum. The LQ9 will have the truck intake on it.

The LQ9 and the LS2 do they still have different pistons or different bore size?? Or is i just the head that makes more compression?? Of what i have heard that the tbss has 10:9 compression ratio and mine(LQ9) has 10:0.

Same bore and stroke, I believe. The LS2 has an aluminum block and heads, whereas the LQ9 has an iron block and aluminum heads. The LS2 has 10.9:1 compression. Keep in mind, as already pointed out, even though they are both 6.0L engines, that's where the similarities stop. They don't have the same block, intake or heads. I'm fairly certain the cam profiles are also different.
