What coolant do you use?
I know GM says to use DexCool but I wanted to see what you guys use and if you have had any issues. I noticed a bit of the ole brown sludge in my overflow resivoir, never had it before. Think its time for a flush, wonder if the cold has anything to do with it

always dirty- 2013 Ram 2014 Caddy ATS
Even if it is dexcool I would flush it. It probably hasn't been done before. I would change the thermostat too.

I run regular coolant, no dex.. all it takes to switch is a complete drain of the system which means getting it out of the block before you put the regular stuff in. Car runs great.

if you decide to run regular glycol make sure you get all of the dexcool out of the system. If not it will sludge up and eventually harden. I run global in mine.

I use a mixture of DexCool and distilled water and a bottle of RP "Purple Ice", I change the coolant every 15K (garage queen), and I never have had any issues.
