Weird issues need some help.
Car has been having some weird issues. I am certain it is electrical. Basically today while driving all gauges whent out of control, all lights came on and off on dash. Got home from school took a nap and when it was time for work car would not start. No power to it what so ever. Brought out the electricity tester and the battery was fully charged. So I know it's not the battery. I don't know if it's the starter because there's not even power to anything. It might be but when I crank the key the car losses all power. When I gave up and locked it with the remote the alarm sounded like one of the alvin and th chipmunk songs what could it be?

First thing I'd suspect is the battery and or connections. If the voltage was over 12 check for clean/tight cables. You can also take the battery out and get a free load test at most parts stores.

Did all the basic things. Checked for connections. Tested voltage. I got nothing. Might have to take the battery to get tested. And if that isn't the problem might do te alternator test next. Then the starter.

No no security light at all. Honestly I couldn't tell it gets power for like a couple seconds and it's done.

Sounds like a bad connection. Check the negative cable and make sure it has good ground contact. I had the exact same problem a while ago, and traced it to a bad negative battery cable.

Sounds like you have a bad ground connection somewhere or a bad bcm like stated above. check all the grounds you can find and make sure.there clean and tight

how much voltage on the battery you should be seeing close to 13.5 - 14 volts. Check the voltage and see how much it dips when you try and crank it.

BDM issues are these - windows, radio, interior lights and locks go out intermittently.
When gauges go in and out it is almost always the ground or the battery.

check your negative battery cable
check your ground point near the battery
check battery posts
even if your battery is reading ok with your volt meter have it check out at the auto part stores on their bench testers. They can diagnosis more thoroughly then a multi-meter.

I've never had a trouble on my car like this myself. I'm retired from thirty years in electronics. I'll recommend an easy test that I thought up. Clip the positive lead of a VOM to the positive side of your battery. Clip the negative lead of the VOM to a chassis ground, not the battery ground. Start wiggling cables to see if you get any deflection or change on the VOM dial. You may be able to isolate a loose connection or a partially broken cable this way.

In the case that it is the bcm any suggestions for a fix? When I'm off work I will go home and get te battery tested and check for lose wires. We shall see.
