Warped Brake Rotor-Which One?
Anyone know how to determine which brake rotor is warped?
Once I figure out which one, I figure I'll get that one turned.
I'm getting the dreaded pulsating when braking at highway speeds.
Thanks,
Silverbird

I dont know how to determine it but the shop that turns it for you probally wont charge for checking it out. At least around here they dont, and its twenty bucks a rotor.

for 20 bucks a rotor id rather just buy new ones rather than make them thinner and more susepitable to warping faster.........brembo blanks are 50 somthin each.....id just replace them..but thats me

yeah, todays brake rotors are pretty much throw aways. I remember the last time I had rotors turned it was like $7 a rotor.

Just Brakes... they REALLY DO care......
just replace em 1 by 1... u got a better chance of gettin it every time you change one.
the factory replacements are cheap. also check out the ws6 store (non-spon? if so...) they got a nice full set cheap

Are you talking front to back or left to right?????
You can simply apply the E-brake and see if it pulsates.
If you want to get technical you can pull of the wheels and stick your dial indicator on all the rotors and check the runout.
There is a runout spec that GM specifies to be out of round. Thats the proper way to check it.

e-brake wont do it...
it uses an internal drum system inside the rotor for the e-brake...
