VIN Info
I recently purchased two engines from a dealer near Dallas. The VIN's he gave me do not seem to match up. Is there anything on the engine block or heads that will verify the VIN on the vehicle?
Thanks,
BJ

There wont be a vin on the engine. What are you trying too match up? Are you trying too identify what engine it is or if it will work?
J2001 SS, Its not the car its the Driver that matters....

Just trying to run a history on the engine to see where it came from. See if it was pulled from a swamp in New Orleans.
Someone said that the # stamped on the rear left side of the block was the last half of the VIN. Is this true?
