so are you wanting to hardwire it in? If so there's an unused spot in the fuse box you can use. You could also jump it from one of the cig. lighter 12v sources.

I'd wire it to a switched power source so it'll turn off with the ignition - don't have to worry about turning it off....

Heres what you do, mine is above my mirror and that seems to be a good place for it, outa sight outa mind, also look at your cord, if it can be split into a neg/pos if so your alright, if not you will need to go to your local electronics store and buy a cheap end and cord to hook to it that you can butcher, you can also have them look to see which wire will need to be grounded and which will need to be your power, you can do this on your own if you can read the lil diagram on the side of your detector and matching it up with your cord ends, then run your cord down and around to the fuse box on the drivers side, you can cut the negative one short and ground to any bolt (I used the T-Top latch bolt) but with the positive, look in your owners manual and locate the switched ACC port in the fuse box, it should be in about the middle at the bottom of the pannel, then just put a male spade terminal on the end of your pos wire and stick it into that port.... whalla... one hard wired radar detector....
This is all i got for pictures, you can see the aftermarket cord and end i had bought from radio shack for about 10 bucks...
