vats help asap

so my car would do the no start thing, when you turn to ingition it would not start, gauges would do their thing and it whould show security, i could wiggle the key around a few times and it would eventually start, now my key is at 884, so i made a resistor at 888, closest i could get. i also tried 870, both worked every time i started it but it would show the security light on at all times, now i took them out and it still starts every time without the light on, now idk how long this would last but why does my vats bypass show the security light

Reset your PCM and see what happens. Have the resistors handy to start the car. I bet you will need them.

I had never had an issue with VATS until I had to reset my PCM one time. I had a security issue related to the back hatch. Fixed it but the security light staied on for months with no problems. Had to reset the PCM for another issue not related to security or vats. Tried to start the car and got the blinking security light with no start. Went and got resistors and stuck them in and the security light went out.
