    vacuum line broke when doing wire hide mod

    hey guys...so i was doing the wire hide mod and i broke the vacuum line that you have to unhook to do this mod...my car is running fine so whats this vacuum line used for?

    ok, just figured out its a vacuum line for the A/C...so where does this connect to?

    It more than likely goes to the hvac system to work the doors.

    i just need to know where they connect so i can fix it...its the one vacuum line thats bundled up with all the wiring when i did the wire hide mod

    ya got me bud, I just looked at my car (no wire hide mod) and I don't even see a vacuum line anywhere with that mess.

    Okay I found what you are dealing with.

    That check valve goes in 3 different directions. One I believe is the back of the intake manifold. The other goes straight back and through the firewall (to work the hvac). The one you are holding runs up front to just under the passenger side horn. It connects to a little black box that is almost directly under the battery. You can see it just under the horn. What that does I have no clue but it's probably important

    That's a check valve near the PCM and the black box is a vacuum reserve for when you're at wot an there's no vacuum in the intake. It all serves the HVAC system doors

    alright cool...thanks fellas! my car seems to be running fine, but ill fix it anyway...
