Unlock button sets off alarm
1999 Camaro 22, every time I unlock the door with the key or the pod, the alarm goes off. Help! What could this be?

I know you only have 8 seconds to put the key in the ignition after you unlock the driver's door with your key if your security system is set in a particular (default) mode. As for the alarm going off with the "remote", I don't think any security mode does that. If your car has been tampered with while you were away (or not) the horn will sound twice when you unlock the door with the remote. Once again, this is according to the security mode (default again) that has been set.
What you need to do first is look in your (or anybody's) 99 owner's manual and set or re-set the security level. This is done in a step by step method described in a particular section of the manual.
If you don't have an owner's manual I think you can download one for free from the Internet. I know I have downloaded mine.
