Turn signals wont work but hazards do??

Are the turn signals and hazards the same? Or are the hazards the DRLs and stop lights? My signals stopped working. Before they stopped I would get like an intermitten signal on both sides, sometimes very weak and slow. Then they completely stopped working. Front and back dont work. Checked the front ones and the filaments for the DRLs and signals are fine. Also on my dash, the arrow doesnt glow when I use a trun signal. So basically I try to signal but get no clicking, or continous on arrow. I checked the fuse ( pulled it out and looked at it ) on the drivers side dash marked "signal b/u". Looks good and I replaced the flasher but still didnt fix anything. Any ideas? Thanks.

there is a flasher for the hazards also

Yep, two flashers, in my 02-SS the signal light flasher is just to the right of the steering column, the one for the hazards is just to the left.

Ok got it, I have a trans am so im thinking mine should be to the right of the steering column. I checked the one on the left side already.
