Turn signal question
Our now-injured WS6(thank you, Mr. Iceonroad) has had an issue with the turn signals for awhile, now. It used to just blow bulbs and melt sockets all the time till I got new DRL bezels. Just the other day, though, the passenger-side signal quit working, like another bulb had blown. Yet all bulbs front and back are working fine, and the driver-side blinker works like a champ. Were else can I check out to fix this little pestilence? And on a side note... y'all be careful on icy hills.
Thanks for the help in advance, y'all.

hmmm, ok so you smashed the car and have a turn signal malfunction on the passenger side? You might have water leaking in. I had that issue-turn on the head ligths and look at the top of the DRL housing. if you see any kinda burn holes, duct tape them or glop on some all-weather epoxy.

No, the mailbox didn't do anything to the lights at all... this was a problem before that incident. And all lights work fine, just the passenger side turn signal doesn't blink. Is there a relay that could go bad?

also, there is the little turn-signal do-hickey under the steering wheel panel? maybe that's gone bad. It's the thing that "clicks" when signals are engaged.

Kinda off topic, but has anyone else noticed their signal sounds about like some dude banging the bottom of a pot with a soup ladle?

Leaky cage
My brother and I have changed lots of bulbs in each of our cars. Recently both of us melted a socket.
Check to see if you are getting condensation inside the glass/plastic cage that the bulb sits in. If so, change it out. I think it's about $60, but you'll seal up and shouldn't have to replace bulbs or cables anymore.

I noticed recently at Auto zzzzone an electronic flasher -it will flash at the same rate no matter what the load on it. In other words if a bulb goes out it will continue to flash the other ones at the same rate,or if you put in a LED light bulb it will flash at the same rate. Just a side note-it has a different sound too, they also make a conventional flasher that has a louder sound to it-if that's what your after.

The next day it blew, got pissed and drove to k-mart, got Sylvania and it's been good ever since.
GE can make the most powerful commerical turbofan jet engine at 115,000lbs of thrust only avail for the 777-300ER and the most efficent but can't make a frickin bulb right despite the General Electric name.
