is it ture the TA can't be broken into w/ slim jim
I Twice locked the keys and my wallet(containing the extra door key) in car,
the campus security man has slim jims for when this happens however he told me there isn't a slim jim for the Trans Am.
second time I had to pay a locksmith to make a door key he did this by site (SP)? see the keys could be sean in the console cup holder.
do the tow truck folks or anyone have slim jims for the TA or
?is it ture the TA can't be broken into w/ slim jim?

yup, they might be hard to find, but there are "slim jims" for just about every car made.
also how about a key box ihidden somewhere under your car
if you get brave (helps to have a friend with a small forearm) you can grab the window and flex it out some so you can reach down in and grab the lock.......do this at your own risk becaise if you pull a hair too far the glass WILL shatter!

Easy way to slove this problem,
Leave the keys in the ignition until you leave the vehicle.
The system will not allow you to lock the doors manually (beeps the seatbelt buzzer) if the key is in the ignition.Craig

i'll tell ya that it would be very difficult to do and take a lot of time... i just put a new lock mech in my TA about 5 months ago... one of the rivets broke off of my window and it smashed the lock when it slid back and forth...

Anyone try the keyfob over the phone trick? If you have a spare fob at home with someone there to answer the phone have them push the unlock button into their phone while you hold your phone near your car.

when I got my car dynoed, they accidentally locked the keys in it. We called AAA and the guy used a small rubber wedge to open the back end of the window, then used a rod to push the lock lever...took him about 20 seconds.

We have the Big Easy lockout tool with inflatable wedge at our shop. Works amazingly awesome. I was thinking about buying one for myself and starting a new career....a criminal career. Hehehe J/K
