TSP Headers
Hey all.............I just picked up a set of the Texas Speed long tube headers and their rumbler x exhaust with true duals. The passenger side header slipped in without any problem, however I can't manage to get the drivers side one in. Has anyone else had this problem????? Clearly I don't want to mess up the headers by beating them with a hammer, but I'm getting very frustrated. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Poor car has been sitting on jack stands and the weather has been absolutely amazing...........I feel bad. Thanks again in advance for any help or suggestions!

I installed a set on a buds 2002 Bird this past year.
I had to raise the motor off the mount to get into place.
Then the header rubbed the steering shaft.
I placed 1/8 alum. plate (shim) under the motor mount pedestal
until his new ploy mounts came in and they raised the motor
up enough to clear.
Good luck with your install.

with my pacesetters I had to trim off the casting on the block a little to get them to go in. You also have to take that drivers side in pretty much vertically from the bottom. Once I trimmed that little piece down they went right in. You have the oil filter off right? it has to come off if you don't. I've put some sets in where you didn't have to do anything....it was just all in the height of the car and getting that header pretty much vertical and then working it in.

OK..........finally got the headers in. What a pain in the @$$. I had to put the jack on two 2x4's to get just enough clearance to throw the headers in, only on the drivers side, the passenger side had no issues. After taking off the oil filter and drain plug bolt, and a few light taps with a hammer.......it slid right in.
As my luck would have it, my TSP true duals with x-pipe wont fit now, due to the previous owner installing a drive shaft safety loop. So Monday it will be off to the exhaust shop to get some custom work done..........always something.
Thanks for all the advice guys................very helpful, as always.
