Have you checked the bulb itself to see if it is shorting out? I don't know where the flasher goes either but I would imagine some where close to the bulb.

Flashers module is under the driver's side dash just drop the panel under the wheel and turn the working blinked on and listen to the clicking. Never heard of a flashergoing bad yet I.swapped I'm a electronic flasher for my leds but.my stock still worked fine, my sockets both rusted out and caused a lot of issues though. Not sure about.the drl though I disconnected mine a while ago I didn't like the look and heated up the housings and caused cracking.

Sounds like the classic TA turn signal/DRL problem. Bulb and socket are heat damaged, DRL lens or housing cracked and leaking water into them.
What you might need is a new socket and bulb.

The front DRL/parking/turn signal lamp contains a bulb with 2 filaments. The DRL and Turn signal uses the brighter filament and the parking lights use the dim filament. The remote flashes the parking lights, not the turn signals.
Most likely you have a bulb problem, but also check the socket for corrosion or heat damage.
