    Top Sail Panel

    would like to now how to remove the top sail panel does someone now the process to remove and install of new one ?

    good info thanks but i would like to now the process of removing it . i ve heard of just pulling it off and heard of using a wire with loops on each end like the ones plumbers use to cut through the glue .

    Either method works. As it can not be re-used, I will be breaking mine off in pieces. Will probably start with a small pry bar in an area that is not prone to damage. The surrounding areas will be taped off for protection.

    Jeff, why can they not be reused? Is it due the adhesive material used? Asking cause I got that crazy look in my eye and a scheme cookin'!

    My bad on bringing up an oldass thread!

    Because the adhesive seeps into the tops material and will always be there.
    Once the bubbling starts nothing will stop it except replacing it

    The sail panel is very,very flimsy..

    It will more than likely break trying to remove it.

    If you could get it off without breaking it, as stated the adhesive ruins the panel permanately..

    damn. i have a pristine sail panel (no bubbles) on a car that i was wondering if i could wire cut, remove, and sell.
