black- 1998 camaro SS
ticking lifter only on hot starts
My car has developed a lifter that sounds like it is not getting oil, Is this a lifter problem it does not do it all the time never develops when I am driving only happens on the start up sometimes then just goes away. Do I need to change the lifters or is this even the lifters?

Sounds like piston slap to me.
What kind of oil do you use?

blacker than wesleysnipes- 98' trans am
only on hot starts huh ? if it was only on cold starts i would then suggest piston slap ..but i dont know
