Throttle Body

Is a 2000 Camaro ss LS1 Throttle Body a direct Bolt on replacement for a 1998 formula WS.6 LS1 Throttle Body.

Every aspect of the two TB's are the same with exception of the shape of the throttle cam.

They have different profiles which makes the throttle blade open quicker for the same amount of cable pull from one to the other.

Can't remember off hand which has the quicker opening profile...

Thank you. Is there anyway that you could find out which is better the 98 or 2000. I imagine just going by age the 2000 would be better, but I dont knwo too much.

if I remember right the 98 has the slightly faster throttle blade

I think you're correct - the 98' throttle cam has a quicker opening ramp than the 2000

Now whether or not you can actually tell the difference is another story...
