TB help fast
Put a new ported tb on here. Its supposed to be stock ls1 just ported.
Everything is the exact same but the throttle body arm on the new tb is long so my cable shorter. This makes my TB stay open and when i start it up she idles at 3000rpm because the cable is too short and is holding it up.
Where do i adjust the linkage or do i just need toget a new cable. Need help fast!

It shows how to adjust it in that thread. If you cannot get your current cable to adjust to the right setting, you may need a longer cable.
I don't know for sure the difference from a LS1 to a LS6 for that though.

Well its almost likethe tb is jamed. Like the cruise control modual...that gear is not going all the way back. If you force it back...it will stay shut but you have to force it shut

I have an 02 so mine is different than yours, I think...
Here is an old picture. You can see the throttle cable going right to the throttle body and I believe where the clip is, is where you make the adjustment.

Basham does your car have traction control 35ths car has traction control which is why he has the adjustment int the cable if you car doesnt have tcs and the cable is a fixed length. Your car has the older style tb and if you got a newer style one your problem would be the exact opposite since the 00-02 style takes LONGER to reach WOT since the cam is smaller. Check to see what spring you have brown is 98-99 style and its its painted blue its the 00-02

Yes its adjustable and i do have traction control. We messed with it for a while. And it just wouldnt close all the way. But im just gonna sell it and go another direction. I might juat port mine because for $97 ($50 for the TB and $47 for a new 00-02 throttle body cable) i could port mine.
35th...what bellow do you have?Last edited by BashamWS6; 06-03-2011 at 03:26 PM.

I wouldn't suggest it otherwise
You just need to get the right size. And, you may need to soak it in warm water prior to installing it. That helps make the rubber more workable.

I somehow knew that would be the next question. You'll have to search on here for that. I don't know exactly. It's on here somewhere though.
