    1999 Camaro SS(LS6 Swap)

    Thumbs up Take out LS1 and put in Ls6 Question!!!!!

    If i take and put a Ls6 block assembly in my 1999 camaro SS but use my Ls1 oil pan and all electronics, will i have any problems??? thanks for your help

    think the biggest question is why would u do this? be much more cost effictive to head/cam/ stroke your current beast

    This is why?

    #3 piston is melted and multiple oils leaks in motor, and heads are bad. metel shaving in oil, and i can get an LS6 complete assembly for $2999.95, if iam wrong please let me know before i make an mistake>>

    ah i got ya...i dont have an answer for ya thought but ill throw this in just to bump it to the top for ya....think your right though about the vettes having a diff oil pan...belive they hold a quart or so more oil ..goodluck

    Lemme see if I remember from the last time I did this exact same thing.....been awhile so bear with me.....
    Knock sensors are all different and require extensions and rewiring.....alternator requires another hole to be drilled and tapped.....other than that....that is about all I can remember for now.....no big deal really....

    it should work as long as you keep all the electronics the same. Not sure about the knock senors tho. May wanna call GM and ask them.

    Is it the LS6 or the LS2 that has the different tooth count on the reluctor ring than the LS1?
