Any tricks i need to know? i heard i need rivits, size? anything would be helpful. ohh, do i need to order the accuators? my passenger side works, buts its slow. my driver side will go up an inch or two then stop. if i wait five minutes it will go up another couple of inches. anything will help. thanks.

if its the first time the window motor has ever been changed out you will need a drill if not just some wrenches and sockets will do the trick also do a seach on this forum it will give you a walk through

It sucks. Drill, rivets/rivet gun and a friend to hold the window is what I needed in addition to the motor/regulator....

changed drivers side it was pretty easy but my window stopped while it was down so no need to hold it

Its not that hard. Read up about our window fix kits and make sure this is the last time you replace the motor for a while. We have before and after videos listed for the kit.
You can find instructions for installing a new motor on our website also.

you won't need rivots and a gun. just drill out the rivots on the old motor and replace them with nuts and bolts. It will help if you can find a friend with small hands and forearms. I followed the write up, I think it was on installuniverisity.com. It was fairly easy. Might as well do both sides at once, the second side was much easier once I learned on the first

If you use the rivets you will need a special rivet tool. They are bigger than what you can get at a hardware store.

Rivets actually make it quicker and easier and you never have to worry about a rivet backing out. I have a friend who works in a body shop so I just borrowed it....
