    suggestions on power steering flush

hey peeps, i have the urge to flush my power steering fluid, it tends to make some racket in the morning when its colder than a witches tit in a brass bra. when the engine warms up it gets quiet, (hopefully its the cold doing it) anywhoo, i hear about disconnecting the hoses and pumping it out like an auto trans. is there another way like sucking out the fluid with a hand pump or something???????????? thanks a million

I used a turkey baster to suck out the old dirty fluid and then added new and started up to circulate by turning lock to lock. Then repeated to try and get most of the old out. Seemed to help but the next turkey tasted kinda funny

go get a proper p/s flush with an actual flush machine.
The turkey baster method doesn't measure up haha

It isn't that expensive and does a hell of a good job replacing every ounce of fluid in the system.

There is a company called BG that makes a flush kit or special fluidfor every drivetrain component, as well as many other products.... it's awesome stuff.

Their p/s flush kit comes with a cleaner that runs through the system and gets rid of any contaminants in the system before running clean new fluid for it.

Alot of shops and some dealerships use these products... check it out.

I've heard of this method too. It's pretty easy, just pull off one of the hoses (can't remember which one), put the flush in then start the car and run it through but don't run it dry. Then just top it off. I did it on an old jeep I used to own, works good.
