Torch Red- 99 Corvette
Stuck LS1 to rebuild or rebuy?
I got a stuck LS1 in my 99 Corvette, no holes in block, nothing broke inside that i know of..it was not catistophic..but its hurt, there is water in the oil.
Questions are:
Is this motor even worth considering a rebuild?
How much is used motors going for?
I see GM parts Direct has an LS1 for 4800.
This car was a supercharged project which went badly wrong. Tons of great parts on it but it never ran right..I just want to have my car back.

Depending on your budget, I'd get a LS6 longblock for around 3k, or a 40x stroked LS2/LQ9 if you wanna spend more money.

I would rebuild the ls1 if its not to bad because it is a lot stronger do to the heating and cooling.
