    Strange problem with 98 Z28

My car has been acting up and running strange lately, especially that it has been raining alot. My question is why does my car keep resetiing the computer up, I mean everytime I start the car off the ses light goes away and the tripometer resets. one time I was driving the car in the highway and the car felt like it was going to die and the airbag light came on, and it suddenly it reseted again. I'm wondering whats causing all this crap, my guess is that I dont have some plastics that go under the car and it causing water to give a shortage or something. any more ideas would be highly appreciated.

For the resetting computer, check the battery, if its weak, i ahve heard that will cause probs like that. As for the occasional running issue, the battery may cause that, but check the wires.

Agree, first thing to do is check the battery terminals, hold down and a load test.

Some of these earlier F-bodies had ground problems, not sure if it involves your car or not. In later models they addressed this with better corrosion resistant grounding bolts and washers.

No-I mean the various grounding wires that are attached to the body at various places. You can see one easily accessible one on top of the fenderwell under the hood for example. There are others.

The problem went away, I guess the rain gave my car a shortage for a while
