    stock gauges

    how good are the stock temp/oil/volt gauges on a 99 t/a???

    I know the temp isn't accurate on them at all like the 98's are.

    IMHO good enough...except the 99 to 2002 coolant temp gauge.

    good enough for a built engine?! hahaha

    i have to buy gauges and i want to see what i should get and what i shouldnt

    Well you won't need a volt gauge, but oil pressure and coolant temp is a good idea

    If your vehicle is an a4, I would consider a trans temp gauge, you can always go with a liquid fuel pressure gauge @ the end of the fuel rail.

    I would'nt put a lot of stock into the stock cluster.. Temp, oil, tach are all off.. I'm not sure about the older years but still would'nt trust them imho..
