    steering question

I have about a half inch of play in my steering wheel. I've jacked it up and had my dad wiggle the steering wheel to see if anything looked wore and i have shook the wheels to see if maybe a ball joint was bad but everything seems to be tight. just wondering if anyone had any input.

Double check your tie rod ends, cause I had a similar problem.

check the two bolts on the steering shaft. there's one that holds the end of the shaft to the rack. then, there is one up by the firewall. takes a 7/16" or 11mm socket to tighten. i forgot too tighten the one up by the firewall on my car from doing the engine swap. i have play now. will fix it tomorrow.
