Steering

I'm using a 275/35R18 on the front and my power steering has been makes 2 clanks/clunks then ever I turn under 15mph. I figured the tire was too wide and the system is just underpowered. I had it replaced with a new unit just in case and I have same noise again. Its very loud. Other then installing a underdrive pulley to take some of the stress off, is this a more powerfull pump in the aftermarket seen? Maybe some as had this too and has anthing fix in mind. all info would be great. Oh the car has been lowered about 2 inch and has a bumpsteer kit if that makes any difference

have your ball joints checked, and your tie rod ends checked.

possible bad strut bearings as well.

I've got Tubluar a-arms (upper and lower) that only have about 5k mile on them, so I dont think its the ball joints, but you never know. I'll take it to the alignment shop and have them check it out. Thanks for the tip. Any word on a stronger pump?

The struts are Koni 8 way adjustable with Eibach sport springs with about 30k of use.. So maybe it time to replace them.. I was told they last a long time though..hmmm Should have a pro take a look at those too
