Starting To Mod 02 Z28 Need Help

I've had my Z28 for about 2 years and now that i have another car to drive i want to start adding mods on my camaro. i have started with the air intake and i want to upgrade my exhaust system. only thing i have on the exhaust is 80 series flowmasters. i am not that familiar with y or x pipes, i want to know which gives out the most airflow. i was also thinking about just straight pipes. as you can see i need help... allan.montoya@us.army.mil < my email address please email me your comments..

allan, you can have some work done on your pipes if you want but for the money, a Dump will net you more power than any muffler as it is the least restrictive (a big hole). And the beauty of this setup is that it can be capped when you want to run it quietly through the muffler. Cheap too- shouldent run you more than $75 which leaves you enough money to throw some juice on her

get a hooker catback, its very free flowing and under 300 bucks.
if youre car is an automatic, get a stall converter.
long tube headers, nitto 555r rear tires and a computer tune.
above will result in a second or more drop in e.t

Headers are definitely the most important exhaust mod.

First off, your better running no muffler than the Flowmaster. Flowmasters choke the LS1's more than any other exhaust. Like Skywalkr said, get Pacesetter LT's and the package for 500 dollers.(dont know if its on sale still or not) either dump it after the cats or get a Loudmouth. As well as get suspension upgrades, LCA's will take off a 10th and some gears help out too.

I sent a email, are you auto or M6 ?, the drone of a LM on an Auto can get old I'm told, with a M6 you can change rpm's and take the drone away.

Noise just sucks on road trips when im doing 2k, but besides that i love my Loudmouth. Ive had it for about 6 months now and get comments all day long about it.
