    Starting issues

ok i took my car to a shop bc it was cranking awhile before it would start and if i shut it off it and turn it back on it fires immediately. the lazy mechanic told me it was due to no back pressure from having no cats and running my LT's right into 3 inch. the other night i i had someone else start it and the solenoid was arching to my header when it would fire but only for a second. could this be the problem and if so is it prob just a loose wire. i can't dick with it til friday bc i'm at school so please throw me some ideas.

Stopping the arching would be a good idea Also check your fuel pressure....

BTW i'd stay away from that "mechanic"
