Starting the car without the drive shaft?

I am currently waiting on my new rear and drive shaft to come so I went ahead and installed my two step. I am wondering though if I start the car without the drive shaft in the back of the trans if any harm will be done to the trans. I think it will be fine but I just have to make sure non fluid is coming out of it right?. I wanna test out the 2step that is why I am wondering.

You are just like me, impatient as all get out. You can start it, just don't engage the tranny at all. You don't want the tranny to warm up at all with no fluid in it. And you don't want to get the tranny moving, it has no mass to slow it down. You could easily end up with it locked into a gear. I wouldn't do it. But I would hook up the battery charger so I could listen to the stereo. Why do you want to start it? And, what is a two step?

Yes, you can run the car without the driveshaft in the trans. The trans fluid shouldn't really leak out much

I did no fluid came out just left it in neutral.

interesting, I haven't heard of this before, so it is a rev limiter for staging your car?+
if i understand correctly when activated you put your gas pedal to the floor and it holds the RPM at whatever you choose (say 3000rpm) for your launch and after you release the clutch it basically deactivates. so you launch at a consistant rpm no need to feather the gass or clutch (assuming you hook up). I need to look into this more...very interesting.

Yea thats correct. The instructions are given for 99-02 cars but I have a 98 and tapped it into the lower clutch control switch. Its a purple and white wire on a 2 prong connector

Though I don't see a need to run it before it's complete, I don't think you'll hurt it if you keep it out of gear..

I just wanted to start it to make sure I had it wired right and it would start after installing it

this is only due to the wrong installation of Microsoft office. If you want to remove this problem then go and just install the latest version of Microsoft office. 2019 is the latest version and it is very helping version and users can try this vin check for motorcycle. You should also update the window maybe it is due to the window updates requirements.
