    starter and headers

    Hi all !
    are there maybe any difficulties to remove the starter to change the Crank Sensor ?.....i have dynomax LT....thanks Robert

    starter has 2 bolts that hold it to the block, very easy to take out.

    thank you ! but i mean if there is maybe any clearance problem with the headers and the starter ....i hear something like that from a friend who have a corvette.....he says he have headers and could hard dismount the starter because of the headers ?

    Depends on the design of the headers. If I recall, my Kooks went in on the passenger side with the starter in place. If you do remove the starter, make sure to disconnect the battery first and do not allow it to hang from the wires.

    Jeff is right, don't forget to disconnect the battery.

    I would take the starter out anyways because it will give more room to work.

    ok thanks ! i will be careful with the battery and hope i can change the crank sensor without to many problems.....

    Don't he will need a relearn from a tech 2 scanner because he is replacing the crankshaft sensor?

    hi !

    So......car runs perfekt now again.....it was the fu.. bad crank sensor
    change was easy with a lift.....start it and runs smooth as before

    no SES light is comming back .....drive now for ~20 miles home.....
    i dont have done a relearn.....is this necessarily ?

    i am so happy now ....thanks for all help !
