    SS hood on Z28

    is it possible to convert a non functional SS hood on a 2000 Z28, to make it functional? A few years back, I bought a Z28 with a non functional SS hood, and, if possible, would like to make it functional. any ideas on how to do this, if possible?

    I've never heard of a non-functional SS hood. I assume the opening to the scoop is closed? If so, then, if you have a cutting tool like a Dremel, and some cutting bits, it can be done. You will also need the airbox/hardware.

    My understanding is that the "opening" actually directs air toward the air filter (running it back toward the front of the car)... maybe those runners are missing from his hood?
    Lid, Throttle Body, LS6 Intake, Heads, Cam, Magnaflow, LS7 Clutch, SFCs, STB, Panhard Bar, Strano Springs, Hollow Sway Bars, Poly/Roto LCAs, Konis, MGW Shifter
