    Squeal/Squeaks under the hood (Pics)

    Hello guys,
I havnt posted too much, I mainly do a lot of reading/research. I have been looking at numerous posts about people having noise (squeals that sound like the belt) comming from the engine.

I bought a mech. stethascope from Harbor Freight for $5 (or can use the redneck stethascope Orion suggests if you dont have a mech. stethascope)

I replaced my belt thinking i ll take a shot at the obvious, yet i was wrong lol

It is a pulley and the stethascope works great, just like Orion states numerous times. You'll know when you find the problem pulley!!

Just for info, this is my problem pulley. Just wanted to see if anyone has replaced this pulley before and if anyone know what foot/lbs torque i need the tighen it to? I ll most likely tackle this pulley later today when the stores open up so i can get the proper socket to the bolt.

I am hesitant to try it because i havnt worked on my engine yet other then the usual oil changes and such. Im sure it will be easy, tackeling the rear sway bar bushing later today also(Getting tired of the noise over every bump!)

Any info/tips from others who have done this would be welcomed

I would use a torque wrench to remove the bolt and see how much torque it takes to remove it!

Watch out though when replacing that particular pulley. That damn star head likes to round out.

A/C idler, 37 Ft lbs. Make sure you use the right torx socket to remove and instail.
Just curious but whats leaking up front? Do i see a front main seal in the near future...

I havnt cleaned it up yet to see exactly what is leaking yet. Pulley was an easy fix, threw on a new belt while i was down there

Having problems with the sway bar bushings. the new bushings seem to have a lot of room between the sway bar and the inside of the bushing.
