spuddering?????

I just bought a 2000 trans am ws6, the car once in awhile spudder's. But its not all the time. But the more i drive it and the more it spudders. ANy idea's

I do know one o2 sensor is bad, my ses light came on, and i had it checked out. I will get the o2 sensor replaced today. I just has exhaust the cats and back, and slp lid, and msd wires, thats all i know of. I just bought the car.

the spuddering occurs at different rpms, mainly the lower ones, around 3200 or lower

just today the ses light came on. The o2 sesnor is bad. I hope that gets rid of the problem. I will get it changed today or tom.

i got that same problem, it came after i put my headers on. i pulled all my plugs and there wasnt anything wrong with them, so im leaning more towards the o2 sensor.

Does anyone have a pic of where the o2's are actually located. I know there are 2 in front and 2 behind the cat, but i would just like to visually see a reference for when I do mine this weekend.

Just look under the car you can't miss them, if you have stock manafolds the first 2 (upstrem) sensors will be located near the engine in the manafold.

Not to bad to get to the o2 sensors. i just got one of mine replaced and runs like it should. My ses light went of after 4 starts and has'nt came back on yet.

At least on my car (2001 TA) you can see the first two from the engine bay.

so they are not actually "IN" the cats? what should i add to the threads so they won't seize or should i just not add anything?

No, they are after not "in" the cats and the new sensors should have anti seize on them already.

yes they do i wondered what that goopy shit on there was.......are the old ones gonna be hard to remove i wonder they haven't been changed for 105,000 miles on it.

Just let the car warm up before you try and take them out. Becareful of the hot exhaust.
