    heat shield. how to replace heat shields? any help?

    Which heat shields are you speaking of? The metal boot around the spark plug wire?

    Yeah, thats the first thing that came to mind when I read this... really the only thing.

    The plug heat shields are reusable. You just pull them off the boot and slide them back on the new wires. I'm not sure why you'd have to replace them unless they're smashed or lost/missing. If you're wondering how to remove them they won't come off without pulling the boot too. They go on before not after the wires are clipped to the plugs..

    yeah my bud just put in new plugs and wires for me, and told me i had a damaged shield and wanted to do it myslelf, cant figure out how to remove it

    you just pull them off.....simple....i did not use them on my new MSDs......no loss without them
