    Small block mains

Anybody know if a '91 Suburban (350ci) would have 2 or 4 bolt mains? I'm sure I'll have to look at the block number to find out for sure. If it were to be 2-bolt, at around how much power would I need to add a stud girdle? Or should I just forget about using bolts and use studs/nuts? Forgive me, it's not an LS1!! Thanks for any help....

What are your plans for the engine?

Nothing too drastic, but still want it to be respectable, probably around 400hp. All depends on money, though. I would like to put it in a '70 - '72 Camaro or '69 - '72 Pickup. I figure it would really have to be wild before requiring a girdle, but just got curious as to when it would be a must. Wish it was a 4 bolt.

    Or a 6 bolt LS1.

The two bolt will be fine. If you want you can have the mains drilled for splayed caps as insurance.
