    slp lid help

    hey whats up so i got a slp flow-pac installed the other day but i cant seem to get the lid on right i was just looking to see if anyone had the same issue . also when i install the filter do i keep the plastic holder it is in on it when it is in the car thanks

    If you have the smooth bellows my advice would be to get rid of it cause it's what is causing your lid fitment problems

    as stated above the bellow could be the issue pushing the lid forward. Either cut the bellow or go to a hardware store and pick up a $4 fernco rubber pipe and trim to fit.

    yes keep the plastic holder for the filter, just trim some of it.

    Also where the lid rest on the radiator support, you might have to file a flat spot on to the lid, for better fitment

    The smooth bellows can also be trimmed if you wanna try that.

    Another trick is to put that bellows in some boiling water for a minute or two before putting it on. It's much easier to work on there when it's really flexible. It'll be hot so have some gloves handy.
