    Slow trans am

    Hey guys my trans am is a 98 with over 170k miles on it and I put on some lt headers and true dual exhaust but idk why but my car feels like it takes a lot more gas pedal to make it go! It's bugging me cuz It feels like there's something wrong but idk what. Any ideas?

    tune and tune up more than likely will cure that problem.

    cleen ur maf ! and if that dont work see if the clutch is holding the power... my stoped holding power after 55k... still moved but it sliped up hight in 3 and 4th gear

    Definitely a tune. Possibly change your fliuds.....Other than that what everyone else said O2 sensors, clean MAF, etc.

    I would first clean the MAF since my car had the same symptoms your saying before cleaning the maf and i would only use CRC maf cleaner, DO NOT go cheap and use alcohol that you have laying around. Wether my car runs good or not i clean my MAF once every 2 months since i have a K&N, Lid and FRA mod you get alot more dirt, plus its soo easy to clean why not.

    A local has basically the samecar as I do w/ no tune he has run a 12.8 bolt-on.
    Clean maf with maf cleaner, clean the iat, check the ses light to see if it is the cats or the o2's. Oh replace the fuel filter if you haven't already.

    also try cleaning the injectors out,plus check the spark plugs and wires to see if they are still any good
