    Slotted & Drilled Rotors.

    Hello Everyone,

I have a 2002 Trans Am that had a Power Stop brake kit installed on in April of last year. the question I have is that the rear brakes see to be louder now than before when braking at highway speeds. I'm also experiencing a similar sound from the right rear wheel when car is driven at highway speeds with brakes not applied. Also when roads are wet and driven in the rain it seem to be very loud from the rear of vehicle, this started after the brakes were installed. Any ideas?

It sounds like your rotor needs to be cut or replace Some times when you buy a after market part it's not perfect or it might be a hair Line bend but I'm no expert I'm just throwing out some ideas for you

That's odd. Shouldn't be making any noise. Take the car for a 10 to 15 minute ride and then carefully touch the center area of each back rim. If the wheels are excessively warm, or if you have a distinct brake smell, they are probably dragging. Did you pull the caliper pins to clean and lube them?

What Jeff said. Also, if you can, scuff the rear rotors with sandpaper to give the rotors a surface the pads can bite into.
