Shop can't paint my hood!
I took my car to the shop few days ago for paint,
So the guy said it was gonna be done the sane or next day, but they are having issues getting it painted. They said air bubbles get on the paint.
It's been paint more than once and primered
But still has the air bubbles coming up.
What could be a fix for this?
I heard people having problems with this. But never thought it would happen to my car.

I'm worried it gets bubbles again after feew weeks from Now.
The paint was coming off due to the air bubbles it had. So now idk....

It's stock 00 SS oem hood.
On my other SS OEM hood on my Z they never had this problem.
I told the guy to take their time cuz I don't wanna deal with this in the future.
I'm getting warranty for the work. But as all the shops don't wanna do it again for free

1999 Formula WS6 M6-sold- 2001 Silverado Z71
The OEM hood is SMC (sheet molded compound). Its similar to fiberglass but slightly different and requires a different prep, repair, and paint process.

It is incorrect prep of the hood that is leaving a contaminate (sp) on the surface.
I would find another shop, even GM painted their early vettes that were all fiberglass.

yea its probably gonna have to be stripped and re-prepped.....any kind of oil, wax, grease or anything that shouldnt be there will contaminate, and even if it looks ok at first, eventually it will show ...
