I am driving my 01 SS Camaro home today, 37,600 miles on odometer, and the service engine soon light comes on. WTF! Anyone else experience something like this?

    Yep, sure have.

Could be anything as simple as a gas cap not seated correctly, to more complicated issues.

Don't freak, pull the code and post it up.

I've got a 2000 SS with a 100k on it, but I've had a similar problem. Read the manual, it explains everything. Could be a loose gas cap, bad batch of gas and more than likely should go away on it's own. If you run 3 tanks of gas and it hasn't gone away on it's own, then bring it to the shop.
