service engine light
got two codes p0420 bank 1 and a p0300 does anyone know why its throwing those ones a missfire code plugs were just changed and one is catalyaic deal what do they mean please help

P0420 is most likely a bad cat - warranty is 10yrs/120K on the 00-02 cars. P0300 could be several things, my car has thrown it a couple times over the years and just cleared it and rarely comes back. You can look up the codes/diagnostics for your year at gearchatter.com, maybe they're related.

Check all the plugs for fouling and check the gap while they're out, make sure all the plug wires are on all the way...you should hear two clicks.
Like 2001NBMZ28 said, the other is most likey the cat. Mine threw a p0430 back in the day and the cat was toast.
