Seafoam Question
Hey guys last week I used seaform in my fuel tank. I bought another can to do my oil and poss. top end.
My question is has anyone ever put Seaform in a spray botle and directly misted it through the Throttle body? In know you can go throught a vacuum line, I was just wondering about the throttle body.

I am sure it will work...but spray bottle won't deliver it quickly enough.
You don't want to kill the car, but you can dump into the brake booster...and it is easier.
Just pop it off.

I think there is a Seafoam writeup that says to use Seafoam Deep Creep in the TB.
The writeup is on another site so I'll PM the address to you.

Let me know if you didn't get the PM.
It doesn't show up in my Sent folder even though it's supposed to put a copy there.

i would reconsider using it in the engine (oilpan). its harsh on your seals and can dislodge bad stuff and cause leaks

How many miles are on it?
I have done it in the crankcase before but only about a 1/4 of the can and went and drove the car on the freeway for 50-60 miles. Then changed with cheap oil to make sure it's all flushed out. After a day of driving I then replaced with Amsoil and put a good filter. I actually saw a rise in the compression test on 6-8 cylinders a week later.
It was on a SS that had 140,-150,000.Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!

ive got 132,800, I was going to put it in the oil for about 100 miles then change the oil because ill be right at the 3,000 mile oil change. Should I not do it? Will it cause leaks like blue02Z said?

I was also wondering the same thing.. I was going to foam the gas then the oil then after that change my 02s and my oil and port/clean my throttle body. So everything will be nice and carbon free.

Well I would not let it sit in the motor over night NO.
If you add it then hit the freeway for 50 miles or so then go back and drain it out while it is still hot you should not have any issues with leaks. I never have but like I said I have never let it sit in the motor or just drove around for a day or two.
Have you ever seen inside your motor? As in valve covers off or intake to see the condition?
If it is not sludged up at all I would just put a 1/2 quart of ATF in it for the same type of drive cycle.

It will work good threw the TB but it is kinda hard to keep the car running. Use two people.

I'd do it through the TB, using the brake booster works but it's not as effective.
