    Sea-foam

So my neighbor is a backyard mechanic, does real good with all his work. He swears by this sea foam stuff. Says it will get rid of any ticking or knocking that u might have. Apparently u have to pour some in u'r gas and some in u'r engine oil, then let it run through the system. All the while u get this black smokt out the tail pipes. Has anyone else heard of this stuff? And if so does it really work?

I've never used it. Saw someone fog out a neighborhood using it though. I've heard nothing but good things about it.

is good i use it on all my cars, what you do you buy two cans, poor a whole can into your gas tank , then poor half of the other one into your oil and the other half into a vacum line like the brake buster line, let it sit for like 20 minutes then turn it on and drive the crap out of it allot of black smoke should come out and thats all the gunk in your fuel, system and it cleans the valves and all the oil system as well, you can fell the hp being restore, there are allot of videos on youtube on how to do it.

Are there any down falls to it though? I mean it won't affect and plastic or rubber, i really think its something i need to do. Im just a little hesitant about it, would really hate to screw up my engine.

It is petroleum based and will not harm the plastic or rubber. Personally I only use one can. Pour half in the full tank, and slowly put the other half through a vaccuum line. I don't put it in so fast that it will stall the engine. Some put it in with there oil, but not me. Putting something that foams in with my lubricant just doesn't seem good. JMO.

sea foam has prolonged the life of previous cars ive had and makes them drive almost like new. the only possible downside is having to change your oil at maximum 100 miles after introducing it to your crankcase. breaks down all the nasty gunk in there, and who wants to drive with all that swirling around. I use this in the goat every 3 to 5k.

Could it possibly foul out any sensors or clog injectors or anything? You know...all of that junk trying to exit the engine...

i personally use it every 20k and i haven't had a single problem. The 1st time you use it you will fog the neighborhood. I use one can in the fuel tank and half in the brake booster line. The other half in the engine before Im fixing to change oil. The 1st time I use it I noticed an increase in throttle response and idle.

is good to do it before a tune up, cause after your done seafoming you will have to change your oil before 300 miles and spark plugs as well

One can with a full tank of gas and one half in the oil and the other half in the brake booster hose.

You should not have to change the plugs after using seafoam.
