Scanner/code readers..please help

Hey Everyone,

Can someone tell me whats a good scanner/hand held code reader to get?

I was looking at Auto Xray and Innova obd 1 & obd 2 code readers.

Does anyone own one and have tried both brands? Which one to get?

The Innova 3120 is 199.00 right now online.

I need one that can read both obd 1 and obd 2 cars. pre 1996 and after 1996.

Maybe some other ones I should be looking at? I just dont want to spend too much for one. Im only doing a few cars within my family but they range in years from 91 to 98.

I have Autotap. Dont think it reads OBDI but I like it cause it does alot more than read codes. Pretty much can show you what every sensor on your car is showing (Ltrims/Strims etc). http://www.autotap.com/
