    2002 Pontiac Trans Am

    S.E.S. with code p1406

    hello everyone,

    I'm getting a code reading P1406 on my 2002 Trans Am, (Auto) for Bank 2. A friend has a code reader and said it's the 02 sensor which can go in front or back of the cat, I've been trying to find online where this sensor would go but have had no luck. Do any of you guys know where the senosr would go? Any help is greatly appreciated..thanks..

    p1406 is an EGR code. 2002 Trans Ams don't have EGR. Are you sure about that code number?

    I'm gonna talk to my friend with the code reader, I was not there when he performed this diagnostic but supposedly it was (P1406 Bank #2).
