RPO code meaning?

So I ran my vin through gm's rpo code thingie and it came up as my car is only 1 of 2 in 1999 to have the 1sd rpo code. It tells me that it is package option 4 or something like that. anybody have any idea what exactly this means?

Also it has a vs7 code which means non saleable. What does this mean?

I looked there but those codes aren't listed (unless I'm having one of those selective senses problems my wife tells me I have). Also I'm wondering what the exact meaning of the code is as in does VS7 mean the car was a special order and not to be sold thru a dealership or something like that?

To reveal all the options included in that package you may need to identify each code on the door tag individually using a tool like the link that pajeff02 provided.

vs7 means non-saleable, its a code gm puts on pre production test cars, but often times flip and do end up selling, many gm vehicles have the code do some google research.

1SD is option group four. it adds options to 1SC optioned cars which add to 1SB optioned cars, which add to 1SA optioned cars which are typically strippers with little to no options.

looking at a sales brochure would be able to show you what option group 4 includes, probably everything.

Thx. Did some more digging. Was just being lazy lol. Thought someone might know offhand. Doesn't really mean that much to me, just kinda curious. It ain't nowhere near what GM put out now anyway!
