    rpm gauge

    I bought a rmp gauge with a shift light the other day and im having a little trouble wiring it. it has 3 wires, red=power, black= ground and green= coil. I have the red one and the black one connected i just need the green one, my question is were does it go connected two, do i have to run it all the way to the coil?
