Rocker arm spacers
Hi, Im a new guy. I recently had MTI build me a stuck cube ls1 with 11.5 compression ratio, stock heads. I took them 7.4 length pushrods, speedtek f-1 cam and everything to to this. I went to have the car tuned and they told me that the cam didn't sound like a f-1 cam. So i ordered a tsp magic stick. I went to put it in and found rocker arm spacers. I have some clue what they are for, but not really. Is this a MTI thing that they do or what. Are they neccessary with my cam and 11.5 ratio. If anyone has any clue please fill me in. I have done numerous cam swaps and never have seen these!! Thanks

There must have been a rocker arm to valve tip aligment issue...I can't think of why anyone would use spacers otherwise....what does MTI say?

i havent asked them, they pissed me off, the car has only about 2500 miles on it and is already leaking oil though the rear cover.

Doubt it....get a 2nd opinion and then armed with that 2nd opinion go back to MTI and "discuss" the issue(s) you are having...

yeah but has anyone ever heard of using the spacers under the rocker arms. other than valve clearance and tip alignment. because you know im not getting full lift out of the cam, therefore reducing hp.
