Start by removing the belts, easy check. If it goes away it's the belts, idler pulley, something in that area. While belts are off, turn the pulleys, PS pump, water pump, AC unit to see if they are nice and smooth.

    Ringing Noise?

I just wanted to chime in on this. I have had my 02SS for 3 weeks now and it is doing the same thing. I checked it today and found that the main pulley is off balance. Also the upper left pulley bracket is loose. I am hoping this is an easy fix. Just tightning the bolts? I hope this is a help for you. If anyone reads this and thinks that is the way to fix by tightning the bolts please let me know. Thanks

If you mean the crank pulley, be very thorough and remove the old bolt, get a new bolt, remove the pulley and make sure it has not been loose, then if it all looks good you may consider replacing the pulley.
